Shany Porras's "Translation No. 1 of Brahms Symphony No.1 in C minor, II. Andante sostenuto" is a contemporary, abstract-expressionist painting filled with emotion using soft and light colors of acrylic media on canvas. At 48 x 36 inches, this energetic painting translates the first movement of Brahms's symphony as if being painted live with the music.
Porras states, "Many of my paintings are translations of orchestral music. For this painting, I translated "Symphony No. 1" to capture the passion and freedom I find in Brahm's first symphony."
Porras has signed the bottom and includes written details, including a serial number on the back. A certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist, is included once purchased. The painting is wired and ready to hang.
